I watched the Pilot of The Good Wife yesterday and I LOVED it. I hope the rest of the aired episodes are as good. I've been mulling over the news of an American remake of Skins and while I agree with the most common reactions ("but why not just watch the original??" and "but you can't show sex and drug-taking and violence on MTV!!"), I think I've figured out why the remake will never work for me.

( Wherein I start off talking about Skins, postmodernism and Anglo-Americanism and end up talking about Gossip Girl and the American TV industry… huh )

Wow, I really out of the loop of Gossip Girl fandom: I had no idea Chace Crawford was starring in the movie adaptation of Nick McDonell's Twelve. Way to step out of your comfort zone, Chace, by playing... a fucked up rich kid from Manhattan. o__O

(This also amuses me, because Gossip Girl immediately made me think of Twelve. Heh.)

I really need to actually catch up on Gossip Girl (I'm 3 episodes behind), because I have managed to accidentally spoil myself for every major plot point. :/ Admittedly, it's my own lookout for choosing to randomly marathon other shows (Generation Kill!
